Solo Chick, known as Wil in real life, is a 30-something native New Yorker who is currently pursuing a degree in Political Science. 

Wil is passionate about two things: social justice and finding a really hot bag. Usually in that order. In her own words:

“I’m a girl who was born into poverty on the Lower East Side of Manhattan and fights everyday through education, political awareness and social pains to raise herself up into a more pleasant life while bringing along anyone who dares to listen to her voice and her cries for social justice for all…is it wrong to want to look cute while doing it?”

She likes to add a chic urban flair to all that she does and writes, which can be credited to her roots in the inner city and an innate taste for the champagne & truffle lifestyle on a Colt 45 budget. She blogs about life as a single woman, shopping, politics and the dating shame game. 

2/2009 Update: Solo Chick is Solo no more!
Solo has become a Duo. She is blissfully engaged to the man of her dreams, and will officially be solo no more as of June, 2010.  She plans to blog about the journey to wedded bliss. But not in an obnoxious way.
